CONNECT
Domains & HTTPS
Every prepared website has a generated temporary address. Connect a domain you own whenever you are ready; HostRyx checks ownership, DNS routing and HTTPS before changing the live WordPress address.
Open Domains & SSLStart without your own domain
Choose Start with a temporary address in your hosting request. After provisioning, Domains & SSL shows the assigned address under wp.biosplay.fun. Copy that address or open it once the service is ready.
Temporary addresses include managed HTTPS and do not need customer DNS configuration. They are website addresses, not domain registrations, mailboxes or a permanent free hosting offer. Service activation and expiry still apply.
Prepare a domain you own
Open Domains & SSL, choose the website and enter the exact hostname you want to use, such as example.com or www.example.com. Choose Get verification record.
An apex domain and www are separate hostnames. The current controls connect one custom hostname per website; additional aliases are not created automatically. The BiOs Play platform domain and temporary namespace cannot be claimed as your own custom domain.
Copy the exact DNS records
At your existing DNS provider, add the TXT ownership record and website routing record shown in HostRyx. Use the exact record names, types and values from your website’s controls.
Review conflicting A, AAAA and CNAME records for that hostname. All public routing addresses must point to the expected hosting destination. Preserve email MX records and mail-related TXT records; you do not need to transfer domain registration or change nameservers to connect a website.
Verify ownership, routing and HTTPS
Choose Check connection after your DNS changes propagate. HostRyx checks the TXT challenge, website routing and a valid HTTPS response before switching WordPress. Your current address remains in use while the new connection is pending.
If the check fails, follow the displayed message and review the records before retrying. Ownership challenges expire after 48 hours; use Get verification record again if needed. DNS updates and certificate issuance are not always immediate.
Understand automatic SSL
Temporary addresses and successfully connected custom domains use managed TLS certificates. HostRyx’s HTTPS server handles issuance and renewal; you do not need to upload a certificate or private key.
Keep your custom domain registered and pointing to HostRyx. Restrictive CAA records or changed routing can prevent issuance or renewal. The dashboard’s HTTPS check refers to the current website address, not every possible alias.
Disconnect or cancel a pending connection
Remove pending domain cancels an unverified connection request and keeps the current website address. Disconnect domain requires typing the connected hostname and returns WordPress to its assigned managed address.
These controls do not delete or edit records at your DNS provider. Review your DNS separately after a change. If the temporary address itself needs preparation, follow the dashboard’s next step before disconnecting a working custom domain.
